Community Outreach

On January 23rd, 2019, we were honored to be a part of an amazing community outreach event in Fairbanks called Project Homeless Connect put on by the Fairbanks Housing & Homeless Coalition. Community coordination and dozens of volunteers pulled off an event that connected the homeless community directly to resource agencies and practical on-site services.

We were able to sign up dozens of families for our Emergency Supply services and gave away hundreds of dollars worth of diapers, wipes, and formula to those attending the event. Thank you for making this possible through your generous donations of these supplies!

We also connected with families that could benefit from our Earn While You Learn program and the items offered through Maria’s Closet. Many individuals were excited to hear of the opportunity to better their parenting skills and receive material items for themselves and their babies in return.

We were encouraged and hopeful to interact directly with such a large number of families that are so desperately in need of help.
